Bio
Born and raised in New York state, I originally began making art as a way to stave off boredom as a child growing up in the 'burbs, 25 miles north of NYC in the Hudson River Valley. The house in which I was raised sat in the midst of a dense forest on the top of a small mountain. I spent a lot of time in the woods with my pet bugs and imaginary friends, coloring on paper plates.
I came to Austin at the age of 21 in search of a place to live affordably, escape small town limitations, attend college and experience the underground/punk music scene.
At the age of 25, I had my son Max, and a few years later my daughter Zoe. For the following several years, they were my main focus and my greatest inspiration for personal growth.
Ever since I can remember I’ve always had the impulse to create art. Through the years I continued to do so, but it wasn't until my kids grew older that I was able to focus more fully on my passion for art making and in 2004 I went back to school to complete my BFA and graduated summa cum laude in the Spring of 2007. Since graduation, I have been working on art and art related activities, enjoying the company of my friends and family, and doing whatever necessary to support my art habit.
